DAVID WIGHT GLASS ART

David Wight

David Wight is the world’s premiere glass wave sculptor, whose art can be found in galleries spanning North America. Born and raised at Lake Samish in Bellingham, Washington, he has always felt a strong connection to the water. Every sculpture is unique and has been individually crafted by David Wight in his Bellingham studio for over 25 years. Using the molten liquid of hot glass as his chosen medium, his work embodies the beauty, grace, and power of water in its most dynamic form: The Wave

GRIFFITH FURNITURE

John Griffith

The Griffith family has been a part of Whatcom and Skagit county since the 1850's.  John Griffith Sr. started Bellingham Auction House in 1939 in its current location at 2501 Meridian St in Bellingham. Prior to that, Grandpa John had multiple storefronts in Alger and downtown Bellingham. In 1954, the Bellingham Auction house evolved into Griffith Furniture & Mattress. The Griffith family has been homesteaded at Lake Samish since the 1940's. The remodeled "cabin" at 779 N Lake Samish Drive still has one remaining original wall from the family cabin from the 40's. Steve, Sondra, & John Griffith are still residents of Lake Samish. Alger, Bellingham, and Lake Samish have been the Griffith's home for almost 175 years, and they love the community they live in.
