Boat Parade 2010
Brrrrrr. 60o temperature on a cool and overcast Saturday. No, this is not
Alaska! What a difference between this year and last.
Despite the unforgiving initial forcast thankfully it did not
deter the 14 boats that participated in this years event. Thanks
to everyone who organized and participated. And yes, in typical
NW Washington fashion, the weather for the rest of the afternoon was
beautiful.
Boat Parade 2009
Near 80o temperature on a bright sunny Saturday - what more could anyone ask for in a July 4 celebration with friends and family! With Bryan Jameson in the lead boat we cruised the lake with 20 decorated boats. Special guest and Official Grand Poobah, Ryan Stiles, judged this years "Best Decorated Boat." Greg & June Jones (767 W. Lake Samish) won the prize for a Starbucks gift certificate (their boat is pictured below) given by the Lake Samish Association. Thanks to everyone who organized and participated.
Just as the parade was ending we had a special fly-by of a pair of WWII P-51 Mustang's. AWESOME !!!
