Litter Pickup
WHAT: The Lake
Samish Adopt-A-Road Litter Pickup Program began in 1991. Since
then, many different volunteer's and volunteer groups have cleaned the
miles of roadway around the lake, keeping hundreds of bags of litter
off county roads. You, too, can help make our lake a cleaner,
better place to live.
The Adopt-A-Road Program is a litter-reduction campaign designed to remove litter debris from our roads and improve the quality of the environment. The county provides the cleanup equipment and lake-area residents are asked to volunteer twice a year. County maintenance crews follow-up by picking up and disposing the collected trash.
WHEN: Usually we have a spring and fall cleanup.
LSA ACTION: Ongoing.
STATUS: See the Events page for details future pickup dates.
